Stones are angels: Catábasis
STWST48x8, Ars Electronica Festival 2022
Catábasis is a descent to a mythical world, where information wanders freely, while bodies are being processed, sluiced, dried out, classified, extracted, and commodified.
Catábasis is an imaginary sonic/chthonic, tex/ctonic, vis/rtual journey to the bubbling center of the earth but also a submersion to the inner worlds of one’s own.

CYENS WIP Festival 2022
A geomantic installation speculating on material agency and sound as a language of the inanimate.
The noise from the audience’s cellphones is picked up using LOM’s emf mic and translated into English to tell us stories of tech extractivism and ecosocial devastation.

1. Destroy your keyboard :(
2. Solder cables to each letter in the letter board
3. Run a PD patch that selects a random sample and a processing script that types a random letter each time a key is pressed and draws over it during silence.
4. Connect one end to the spoon and one end to the broth
5. To eat is to close the circuit.
6. Enjoy palimpsesting.

Ars Electronica Festival 2021
*Sonic Utopias* is a sonic fiction series of utopian narratives and tales of subversion from a (not so) distant earth. Five seashells contain another future narrative, while the sand refers to the childlike practice of building sandcastles; a metaphor for the necessity of world-building in frail times.
